Eep! Jamie Parker, AKA Scripps, AKA My Very Favourite History Boy, was on Silent Witness tonight! It's a complete fluke that I saw it; I was in the front room reading the new Ian McEwan and I glanced up to see him peeling off his surgical mask! He's playing a surgeon of ambiguous morals, and this means SCRUBS, which means FOREARMS!!!!
Some of you may know that I am rather attached to Jamie Parker's forearms. Not literally, alas, but still. They are marvellous. *points to icon* Anyway, two-parter, so watch it tomorrow night at 9PM, mmkay? Also, there is sexy smoking, and while his accent is not Scrippsy, it is still deep and pleasing.
I do quite like Silent Witness, actually, Now that Amanda Birton's fucked off it's really rather good. I love the whole Harry/Nikki dynamic, they are adorable. Tonight, when he was doing adorable little hand flaps in her face, saying "Go away!" TOO CUTE. Can anyone tell me whether they're supposed to be together or not? Every time I've seen them try, something bad happens, like his ex-girlfriend turns up and gets hit by a bus.
In other History Boys related news, Andrew Knott, AKA Lockwood, AKA My Second Favourite History Boy, is going to be in the new series of Drop Dead Gorgeous, starting this Sunday on BBC3! Apparently he's playing the main character's tutor, which will of course lead to an illict affair. Can't blame the girl, really. And of course, Dominic Cooper as Willoughby in S&S! Excited now!

Ahem...ok, childishness over.
I basically screamed and fell off the sofa when I realised it weas him.
Genuinely, I just want "OH MY GOD JAMIE!!" and completely freaked out my mother...
I SO nearly didn't watch that ep as well! I'm getting a bit tired of silent witness...the plots are the most SLOW-MOVING I have ever encountered and hideous models of naked dead old ladies doesn't help. That said, I freely admit that I will continue to watch and watch until something happens between harry and nikki...that will simply hold my attention forever...I need the love.
This ep, maybe? What with being scared she might be dead and all?? Come on harry, cut through that sulk you are ALWAYS in and tell her you love her!!
As for Jamie - FOREARMS! SCRUBS! DUBIOUS MORALS! (Please let him be the murderer)MOODY COURTYARD SMOKING!!! DEEEEEP VOICE!!
I rather like it with his normal R.P., although, of course, the steadily thickening northern was rather beautiful...*wibbles with jamielove*

FOREARMS! Ahem. Hands on hips! I love him so. Also Harry's jacket is FIT.

Date: 2007-09-11 09:06 pm (UTC)Loving jamie ratting out hong kong girl. In the shadows. All moody-like.
Fwee...
I so love harry...although the disgusting lack of harry/nikki really was appalling....plus, jamie sort of dropped out by the end...WHY???? HE WAS SO CLEARLY THE BEST THING ABOUT THE EP!!! The doctor woman really annoyed me...just go to jail already. And stop having dinner with harry when he should be weeping by nikki's hospital bedside. Honestly.

Date: 2007-09-11 11:20 pm (UTC)WHAT THE DEVIL WAS HARRY PLAYING AT? Why was he flirting with Irritating Surgeon Lady? Although he was working some sexy collar action, so I'll let him off.
Hey, you like Shakespeare. And you like Shane West. I take it you've seen Get Over It?
Also, Christian Bale was on Film2007, and HE WAS TALKING IN HIS REAL VOICE NOT HIS FILM ACCENT!!!! I am pleased and confused.
Also also, there was a promo for As You Like It! Looks pretty.
And finally.... that kevin Spacey quote was just on Family Guy on BBC Three!

Date: 2007-09-13 06:18 pm (UTC)I LOVE GET OVER IT
So fully one of the best CRAP films of all time, largely because no matter how hard they try, the story simply doesn't quite fit a midsummer night's dream...plus ew at shane west's accent....
"Who keep nun-chucks in their pants?" Genius.
Loving christian bale...actually, LOVING him in midsummer night's dream!
Fwaha, family guy wins at life....stewie is, I think, my ultimate hero XD

Date: 2007-09-13 11:11 pm (UTC)"Did you ever read a Shakespeare play
And never understand a word they say?
Well tonight we're gonna make things clear
'Cause Shakespeare's dead..."
"BUT WE'RE UP HEEEERE!" *cheers, wooping*
I think my favourite number might be the one about Hermia, with the subtle face punching.
"When I raise my sword...."
LOVE IT

Date: 2007-09-14 09:12 pm (UTC)"Says she don't love me"
"So that's the girl"
"That I got to have."
("I'll tell you why")...
Pure genius
Love that bit where they look like they're going to have a fight, then realise the audience is there and put on those huge cheesy grins.
Shane West's accent rocks my world.
"Stryker, I'd be careful with that accent because you're starting to sound a lot like Mary Poppins."
Fwahaha
