Eep! Jamie Parker, AKA Scripps, AKA My Very Favourite History Boy, was on Silent Witness tonight! It's a complete fluke that I saw it; I was in the front room reading the new Ian McEwan and I glanced up to see him peeling off his surgical mask! He's playing a surgeon of ambiguous morals, and this means SCRUBS, which means FOREARMS!!!!

Some of you may know that I am rather attached to Jamie Parker's forearms. Not literally, alas, but still. They are marvellous. *points to icon* Anyway, two-parter, so watch it tomorrow night at 9PM, mmkay? Also, there is sexy smoking, and while his accent is not Scrippsy, it is still deep and pleasing.

I do quite like Silent Witness, actually, Now that Amanda Birton's fucked off it's really rather good. I love the whole Harry/Nikki dynamic, they are adorable. Tonight, when he was doing adorable little hand flaps in her face, saying "Go away!" TOO CUTE. Can anyone tell me whether they're supposed to be together or not? Every time I've seen them try, something bad happens, like his ex-girlfriend turns up and gets hit by a bus.

In other History Boys related news, Andrew Knott, AKA Lockwood, AKA My Second Favourite History Boy, is going to be in the new series of Drop Dead Gorgeous, starting this Sunday on BBC3! Apparently he's playing the main character's tutor, which will of course lead to an illict affair. Can't blame the girl, really. And of course, Dominic Cooper as Willoughby in S&S! Excited now!

I can quote "A Midsummer Night's Rockin' Eve" in its entirety...

"Did you ever read a Shakespeare play
And never understand a word they say?
Well tonight we're gonna make things clear
'Cause Shakespeare's dead..."

"BUT WE'RE UP HEEEERE!" *cheers, wooping*

I think my favourite number might be the one about Hermia, with the subtle face punching.

"When I raise my sword...."
LOVE IT

"There's a girl,"
"Says she don't love me"
"So that's the girl"
"That I got to have."
("I'll tell you why")...

Pure genius
Love that bit where they look like they're going to have a fight, then realise the audience is there and put on those huge cheesy grins.
Shane West's accent rocks my world.

"Stryker, I'd be careful with that accent because you're starting to sound a lot like Mary Poppins."

Fwahaha
