Heh, we have our moments. Definitely a lot of the factors that influence voting over there (abortion rights being the first thing that springs to mind) wouldn't really be an issue over here to that extent, if at all. WHERE DID ALL THE RELIGION GO, BRITAIN? Not that I'm complaining.

My favourite thing about purity rings are all the statistics that say "kids who wear purity rings are, like, infinity times more likely to get preganant/get an STD if they end up having sex because none of them use protection"! And that Jordin Sparks person after Russell Brand was mocking the JoBros (with love! I'm sure it was with love) at the VMAs or whatever, being all "not everybody wants to be a slut!" Actually, I sort of respect that about the JoBros. Maybe it's Disney making them keep it on the DL, or maybe it's management or maybe it's some other extenuating factor. But they tend to be very not-at-all-in-your-face about their purity rings. And perhaps it's because of the backlash, but they don't really like to talk about it in interviews a lot (although, this could also be because the topic tends to bring up Nick saying that when Joe and he are in their bed they discuss marriage and things like that...but I digress). Which, you know, I find easier to adore them for their weirdly pure ways if they aren't going to go around calling other people sluts.
