OH SHOW, I HAVE MISSED YOU. Except now I feel vaguely dirty because I am a few years older than the characters/actors and DAMMIT I miss not!working in college, but whatever. Skins!

Man, I don't know. I love her so much when she's being all incesty with Tony and secretly fucking with everyone and manipulating people as an art assignment, and I'm all for her geetting stuff to do, but... I think I preferred it when her win was secret, maybe? Like a secret superpower that she would use for evil and shit. But it's early days; hopefully the show will stop being quite so in love with her so I can continue to be.

+ Freddie
Aww, I kind of like him. He's not the sharpest, but he's kind of sweet. Not gonna lie, I thought his "I met a girl today" bit was fucking lovely (and the look Effy gave him then, meep. FINE, SHOW, FINE. Watch me get invested, see if I even care). And that jawline!

+ Cook
Hee, I like him a lot. I like characters who like life, y'know, and he seems to really fucking enjoy it. CALLLING DAYS "PREGNANT" FTW, I FEEL. And he has Sid's locker! The return of Asian Fanny Fun! Arson! Fake traffic accidents!

Someone else I enjoy! This is going pretty well so far, S3. HE DOES MAGIC, GUYS. He made water shoot out of his ears (and how much did I love that Cook was really into the magic? A LOT. I LOVED IT A LOT. Yay boys!)! I actually really liked the relationship between the three guys; they seem to actually like each other and not dick each other around too much just for the sake of it, S1 Tony. And his hair is precious! And I really want to meet his dad. Actually, I really want him to meet Pandora. Fuck.

Ohh, show, calm down a little bit. I mean, I don't hate her, she's just painfully OTT. I think it's sweet she likes philosophy, though, bless her insane socks-and-bunches combo.

+ Naomi Campbell
First of all, hee. This does actually happen to people. There was a girl in my Visionary Film seminar named Kate Moss. I can't help but refer to her as Kate Moss in my head (and any time I'm speaking about her when she's not actually there). I quite liked her, though; she does this thing that I also do where she's pissed off with someone and also trying (and failing) not to laugh. IT'S REALLY ANNOYING, I CAN NEVER FIGHT WITH MY MUM PROPERLY. I'm kind of maybe hoping for some ~lesbian drama~ with Emily, although judging from the preview Naomi's going to do stuff with Cook. I AM DEFINITELY PRO-THAT. Although this show does need girl!kissing, especially now Maxxie is not around to up the gay or whatever.

+ Emily
She's so cute! Her fringe is magnificent! But also, doormat :/ I hope we're going to see her explode all over he terrible sister at some point (and also form an alliance with Effy and possibly get off with Naomi. WE SHALL SEE). But yeah, her latent twin!hatred or whatever should be interesting.

+ Katie
Blech.

In other news, Bristol is gorgeous! I need to go back and visit Sarah some more, because so many hills! And sandstone buildings! And water! Also, OH MY DAYS IT'S ARDAL O'HANLON, I AM SO DELIGHTED BY THIS. ARDAL O'HANLON AS THE DISAFFECTED STUDENT-HATING TEACHER. FTW, BABY. So, slowish start but YAY THE PREVIEW LOOKS FABULOUS.

Nooo, I'm definitely not anti-Effy! I think she is kind of miraculous and powerful and shit, it's just weird seeing everybody else treat her like that. HER EYELINER WINS THE UNIVERSE, ALWAYS.

I want too! Alas, my time has become somewhat limited due to this pesky thing known as school. But I shall download at least the first couple of episodes.

So I'm working on this whole Oxford thing, and it's actually kind of wigging me out. Pretty much taking that semester off buggered my schedule. How long are you going to be in New Zealand? Because there's always the possibility of me taking a year off in between ungrad and grad school.

I really, reaaally don't like Effy. Never did actually. This seems to be an unpopular opinion in this fandom but alas. The boys couldn't have been better picked, I LOVE THEM. :D Emily/Naomi IS BOUND TO HAPPEN, you could feel ~the tension~. But I can see Cook with everyone, so. Magic!JJ is soooo lovely, like my beloved Cassie would say, Freddie is freaking gorgeous - seriously, my hormones were out of control. Cook is such a boy, I love him. Pandora is a total freak, they could tone it down and Katie should diaf. I can't wait to see Emily's revenge against her dumb hoe sister.

You know what I can never get away from when I watch Skins? HOW LIKE MY LIFE IT IS. I think even more this series because, ahaha, THEY ARE MY AGE. And like, I don't know I get all these weird, ~personal~ feelings when I watch it and I always have so much to say but I can never actually talk about it properly because it's like... my own experience? AHAHA, I DON'T KNOW. But I think I got my point across there? Somewhere?

YES. THIS, EXACTLY. Because even when it's ridiculous and over the top there are always those moments where you think this is what it's like, and that is why I will love it forever, despite HORRIBLE HEARTBREAKING CHARACTER DEATH and NYC WTF?! The S2 finale in particular got me so hard, because it captured that end-of-your-last-summer-before-uni feeling perfectly. TONY AND MICHELLE IN THE CAR, POSSIBLY MY FAVOURITE SCENE OF THE WHOLE SERIES. Meeeep.
