I am beginning to worry myself at this stage. After Louise so kindly recommended that I take the classytastic LotR slash quiz, I was vaguely disturbed to discover that my true slash pairing is Boromir and Faramir! What happened to me in my past to make me so into incest? First, the dirtybadwrong BroYay on Heroes, now this?! I knew I should never have read Flowers In The Attic.

Also, yesterday I spent faaaar to much money on DVDs, showing complete and utter disregard for my student loan. It's completely worth it, since I am now the proud owner of Life On Mars S1 (John Simm, Phillip Glenister, like The Sweeney but more warped), Near Dark (couldn't resist the prospect of Squarejaw 20 years ago, plus vampires are the win) and.....

Gilmore Girls S2. Since I was basically buying it to see Flopsy in his youth, I felt that buying S1 was an unnecessary expense. However, I did exercise remarkable self-control in watching all 4 episodes before he even makes an appearance. To be honest, I wasn't expecting great things, but I was pleasantly surprised. [livejournal.com profile] rose_greenthumb and I did a whole 6 episode binge, because it was bloody hilarious. And I have another convert to the cult of Milo V, which can only be a good thing. Also, he wears tight tops. Me like.

It wasn't all lustful spending though, oh no. I decided that Michael needed a workout, and purchased a book of film music for the piano (and none of it goes too low for the keyboard! Result!). It's got some really beautiful stuff in it, and I'm sure you'll all be thrilled to know that I am now the proud owner of the theme from Titanic. 'Proud' being used in this context to mean 'slightly repulsed'. Anyhoo, it's also got some from Amelie, and Pelagia's Song from Captain Corelli, and no matter how much I hate Nicolas Cage in that film, the music's pretty fucking beautiful.

Any con of therapists would be greatly appreciated.
