There's nothing on TV, okay?

The Letter G
1. Get It On, T-Rex
I love this song for so many reasons. Firstly, because it's kinky as. Secondly, it reminds me of Billy Elliot, and I bloody love Billy Elliot. Thirdly, Marc Bolan proved that real men wear glitter. Plus, I am dirtysweet, and I'm your girl.
2. Gimme Shelter, The Rolling Stones
Apparently, you're either a Stones person, or a Beatles person. Much as I love The Fab Four (I've been to the museum and everything. I have a Penny Lane penny), The Stones are just... sexier. And this song is awesome. The guitar intro makes me writhe. Also, I like songs about rape and murder. Nick Cave, where are you?
3. Ghost Town, The Specials
It's political, it has ghost train music in it, it opened Shaun Of The Dead.
4. Girls And Boys, Blur
What is life without Britpop? Also, I love the fact that it was appropriated by all the drunken shaggers who went to *insert name of cliched holiday destination*, despite the fact that it mercilessly ripped the piss out of them.
5. God Only Knows, The Beach Boys
Because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. And it has sleigh bells! And vocal harmonies. And The Beach Boys always make it feel like summer in February.
6. God Save The Queen, The Sex Pistols
Number One during the Jubilee, banned from the radio, instant classic. No future, indeed.
7. Graffiti, Maximo Park
Because it goes mental at the chorus, causing me to pogo like an absolute retard. For the line 'What are we doing here if romance isn't dead?' And because when I saw them at Leeds, they closed the set by showering tiny pieces of paper bearing the words 'Maximo Park' from the ceiling. I've still got one.
8. Gold Digger, Kanye West
Song of Summer 2006. Will forever be a classic, if only for the mime dance regularly performed by my good self and my Faye. Possibly the only hip-hop song to which I am word perfect.
9. Grace, Jeff Buckley
Because he breaks my heart.
10. Gold Lion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Karen O is an absolute goddess. The rhythm is the fucking sex.
