Here be a Pretty Boy Meme I stole from
thedreamygirl
1)List your Top 10 Male Crushes at the moment!
2)Put a Picture Up for each one of them
3)Let your friends rate them from 1 to 10
4)Ask them to do the same and see if you have a crush in common!
Firstly, be warned that my lusts are as fleeting as the moontide, therefore this list is in no way definitive, mmkay?
10. Diego Luna
He manages to be both hot and adorable like a scruffy puppy.

Also, he can dance. This is HOT.

9. Kyle Chandler
This man has the greatest hair in the world. It is magnificent.

A profile shot to better appreciate the hair:

And this picture is just too yummy to leave out.

8. Cillian Murphy
He has freckles. I love him. Especially when he wears vests.

7. Milo Ventimiglia
I heart Peter Petrelli. And Jess. And this man's hair.

I have to sneak in a picture of 'The Bangs' aussi. It's not my fault if Adrian Pasdar also happens to be in the shot.

6. Clive Owen
Grrrr.

5. David Tennant
He is lanky and he has freckles. Sigh.

4. Christopher Eccleston
I think I will always love him that little bit more than I love The Tennant. I miss you Nine!

3. Ewan McGregor
There was a boy.... A very strange enchanted boy...

2. JJ Feild
This might just be beacuse I'm stil high from Northanger Abbey, but dammit if the man isn't adorable in every way.

1. James McAvoy
He's Scottish and he has freckles. And he's beautiful.

Oh noes, I left out Philip Glenister! Ah well, he's still My TV Boyfriend.
Also, there was an amazing Culture Show special on Arcade Fire. They covered Guns Of Brixton. I heart them so hard.

Date: 2007-04-21 04:50 pm (UTC)Aside from Bleak House and Our Mutual Friend, I can never really get into Dickens adaptations the same way I can with other stuff. I don't know if it's because it all comes off as being too caricature or what, they just leave me slightly cold.
Also, have you seen the absurdly poor quality OotP trailer on YouTube? Poor quality because it's taped off Japanese TV, AWESOME in every other regard.

Date: 2007-04-21 05:47 pm (UTC)I understand where you're coming from. But it's not just the adaptations, it's Dickens himself. He wasn't much with characters, but he knew how to evoke powerful emotions in people. Hence, most of his characters are caricatures. The Dickens adaptations I've seen are the 3 Nicklebys, Bleak House, 2 versions of Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities. Out of those, the best were Bleak House, the Ioan Great Expectations, and the RSC Nickleby. The RSC Nickleby was very tongue-in-cheek, but did a better job, I think, at evoking emotions than the actual book itself.
NO I HAVEN'T! LINK, PLZ!

Know Every Person: Claude-centric! Yay! *misses Claude*
Traced Away the Fog: Let it just be said, that I love this one. There's no plot, just our very favorite Petrellis on a road trip. I lol'd many times at it.

Date: 2007-04-21 07:55 pm (UTC)Man, I miss Claude. Although angsty Claude fic goes a little way to filling the void.
Aww, Road Trip! I read it 3 times because it was just so in character and awesome and it had The Bangs blowing in the wind and a Serenity reference! And Nathan's politeness thing? Ach. I want this to happen! Except not really, because my Petrelli boys have to end up on different sides and Peter has to be a vigilante and Nathan has to be POTUS and Claire has to have brown hair. But still. Awesome.
*does excited flailing HP dance*

OMG 3 MONTHS TODAY!!!!!!
no subject
Date: 2007-04-21 08:33 pm (UTC)EXACTLY 3 MONTHS! I can just picture myself in 3 months. At this point, I'll probably be done with the book. My sister will be coming home from Canada, and I'll get to flaunt it in her face that she probably isn't done, and I get to sqee/lord over her. Or I'll be in a corner of my room sobbing my eyes out, cursing JRK for an eternity. But I'll still get a shrine erected for her.
