1. Can you cook? - Yes I can.
2. What was your dream growing up? - To become a marine biologist or to be Laura Ingalls Wilder.
3. What talent do you wish you had? - I wish I was a better athlete.
4. Favourite place? - Anywhere with my friends and we're having a good time, or the peace and quiet of Lake George. I'd say England, but I've only been there for two weeks.
5. Favourite vegetable? - I LOVE sauteed asparagus, but I love just munching on green beans or celery.
6. What was the last book you read? - Othello for English, but I was planning on reading it for myself.

8. Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? - Yes, five, and I want one more to balance it out.
9. Worst Habit? - Wasting time/not eating healthier.

11. What is your favorite sport? - None, I suck at all of them, and unless I'm playing them, I hate watching them.

14. Worst thing to ever happen to you? - That's such a weird question. Getting lost on the way to my friend's house in the middle of the night, and pulling over to the side of the road crying.
15. Tell me one weird fact about you. - I cannot get to sleep if my room is messy. I don't care if I'm in someone else's room and it's a pigsty, but if it's my room...

I was in London for a week, (funny enough, the day of the bombing) Paris for the weekend, and then we did a trip in the country. I'll have to look up the particulars, but we did go to Hastings, Salisbury, Bath, and all the typical touristy places.

God, that must have been so scary. I was supposed to go on a politics trip to Parliament that weekend, but our debate competition got postponed, and they weren't letting coaches into the city. It was so insane when it happenned, because people had sort of heard things on the radio and internet but nobody knew for sure what happened until lunch. One interesting theory was that it was obviously the French, because our Olympic bid had beaten theirs...

But Bath is beyond beautiful. You must have seen the assembly rooms, right? Sigh. They're the pinnacle of Austenness. Also, I don't know if you've heard but one of the UK TV channels is having an Austen season, starting next week. They've done new 90 minute adaptations of Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, and they look gorgeous. They'll most likely be online after they've aired, so keep your eyes peeled.

It was. See, my family and I were walking to our tube station that morning and we were planning on going to Hampton Court that day. Suddenly, we heard this explosion, not unlike demolition. And suddenly everyone on the street does a 180 and they were all like "you can't go that way." Turns out the bus had just exploded, and when we looked down the street, we saw the rubble. We walked back to our B&B and the news still thought it was an electrical failure, and hadn't even heard about the bus yet. It really was a flashback to 9/11. My school was right on the bay, so the afternoon when we were all waiting for our buses, we could see the smoke from NYC. And it was like that for days afterwords. It didn't change our plans in the slightest though. It just meant we had to do a lot more walking. I actually was even more scared when we got back and there was the false alarm. And your point about the Olympic bid was interesting. I pointed out that NYC, Madrid, and London all had received their attacks, and all of them were cities in the bid, and it only was a matter of time before Paris was hit.

I LOVED Bath. It was one of the warmer days that we had and we spent a great deal of time at the Assembly Rooms. And the costume museum. The special exhibit when went there was "Austen in the movies" so we got to see all the pretty costumes.

Yeah, I'd heard about that! I'm interested to see them, since they are Andrew Davies, Northanger Abbey being the one I'm most excited about. I feel like Persuasion's already had it's definitive version, and as much as I love Austen, Mansfield Park is just not my cup of tea.
