Okay, I will state for the record that my quoting of a Ricky Martin/Christina Aguilera duet in my title is tongue-in-cheek. You have to imagine me singing it while holding back incredibly fake sobs, okay?

It's so nearly the end of term, and once again (shock horror!), Sophie is conflicted. One one hand, I'm pretty much burnt out at this point, and I could definitely do with five weeks off to clear my head. And sleep. On the other, five weeks off entails five weeks away from The Fax, and five weeks away from my girlies. I'll see people a few times (London! Six sleeps!), but it's completely not the same as living with people and being able to bang on their door and pester them whenever you feel like it. And it'll be great to see my group back at home, but even at Christmas it felt like some of us were drifting apart. Meh. Angst.

Anyway, I'll have to use a big part of the holiday to get up-to-date with next term's reading, not to mention the Devilish Italian. True to gimpy form, Gimpy Brian hasn't yet put up my reading list, but Austen is a given. I've got my fingers crossed for Persuasion. And I don't know *anyone* in my seminar group. Curses.

In other news, I need to stop watching new TV shows on the internet, because it invariably ends in addiction. To fill the hiatus-induced Heroes void, I have turned to Friday Night Lights. Now, American 'football' (AKA rugby for scardey-cats) is possibly one of the things I am least interested in in the world, so imagine my surprise when I completely fell in love with the show. [livejournal.com profile] thedreamygirl, I am eternally grateful.

Cut for babble )

My Emma is coming to stay today! Last big night out of term, because everyone's packing tomorrow. Thus, everywhere will be choc-a-bloc. And sweaty. And awesome. And it's Izzy's birthday (25!*gasp*), so cocktails must be consumed. It's weird Emma coming, it's like if my two world collide it'll be a paradox and the world will end. And then home on Saturday. Sigh.

Ooh, and last night we went to the choir concert in the Minster. Mozart's Requiem. Fucking Amazing.
