Which would make a better team? Well, any team with Starbuck is pretty much guaranteed to decimate you, tactically. Eowyn is a fierce warrior, Kaylee's a badass mechanic and Allan can talk his way out of anything. Pretty badass, I'd say. Vorenus could kill you to death, easily. Martha is badass, this we know. Catherine and Vince... Pretty feeble, although Vince could do some damge with his straighteners. Lupin would also be useful- cool under pressure, MAGIC...

- Gender-swap 5, 8 & 10. Which character would have the most change in their story arc? Which the least? Would any of these characters have to have a complete personality change to be believable as the opposite sex?

- Haha, Cathy as a man. That would be a pretty big change. Her whole existence would be completely different, her pastimes, her personality. She'd also never get to marry Mr Tilney, which is a most compelling reason not to change sex.
- Starbuck as a guy would probably be the least drastic change. She'd still be an awesome pilot. She'd still be fucked up. Plus, the world of BSG is so awesome with the gender roles anyway that it really wouldn't change that much.
- Eowyn as a man... Now, this is interesting. If she had been a man in the first place, she'd still have been a warrior, but she wouldn't have been through the whole abandonment issues, or the disguise thing, or the need-to-prove-yourself thing, at least not with the same level of drama or intensity. Since it's this need to fight which shapes so much of her character, it's unlikely Manowyn would be that similar to his lady-shaped counterpart. This being Tolkein, she probably wouldn't have been crushing on Aragorn or married Faramir, which is sad.
- Compare the matchups of 5/8 and 2/9. (Ignore canon sexual preferences for the moment.) Which couple would be more compatible? Which couple would be more plausible to people from either principal's home culture?

Vorenus would scare the shit out of children, so he can be in charge of chopping firewood and taming reindeer into giving sleigh rides. Sleigh = Chariot, y/y? Also, AT SOME POINT ALLAN HAS TO WEAR THE SANTA SUIT.
• 4 and 10 are challenged to circumnavigate the Earth in eighty days or less, using only forms of transportation invented before 1900. Can they do it, or will they be fatally distracted by sidequests or their own personality conflicts?

ANYWAY, PLOTBUNNY WISE. Just...WRITE SOMETHING WITH ALLAN. PLEASE, I beg of you. I second what
You could do something about Allan pre-Robin Hood. Like him waking up and realising Tom's stolen his stuff. But that might not be very interesting because the other characters would not be there. OR you could do Allan and Will's night in the dungeon together 1x01 (I do not mean that in a sexual way...) where they meet and stuff. OR something set post 2x01, pre-2x05, with Allan returning from one of his meetings with Guy (probably the 2x02 one because that was the first one and he looked really guilty and hesitant about it and Guy was really threatening with him and the rest of the group were all together at that point talking to Stephen (blind guy) so when he returned they would have all been like "...Allan? Where have you been?" and he would have had to make up excuses and felt guilty and realising what he's got himself into.
