... Changed my profile! Finally got everything orgaised into one of those nice table things, and knocked up a Northanger Abbey header. Could do with some more quotes though, if anyone has something magical to share with me :)

Heh, it seems like every other person on my flist had a Reverses Collide profile layout! It looked so much nicer than what I had before, so I did a bit of a cleanout. I do miss my Weasley Twins Forearms banner though, I might have to reinstate that soon. :)

Have you been sorted yet, btw?

No, grrr. They were supposed to start stamping last night, but they haven't yet, and I'm about tenth on the list so it might be a few more days yet *twitches impatiently* I have started hoarding Cedric icons, though :)

AHH I want to watch Northanger Abbey! I love Catherine from the novel, despite what the critics say of her immaturity. Have you seen the 2007 version of Persuasion? I want to find out if it's any good. I saw the 1995 film though, thought it was pretty awful. The letter scene was totally disappointing ):

Watch it! Watch it now! Catherine is adorable in it. The whole thing is adorable, really. But also sexy, which is A Good Thing. :D I did a picspam (http://sophieisgod.livejournal.com/17712.html) for it, if you don't mind spoilers. Wait, you've read the book...

I really liked the 07 Persuasion, Rupert Penry-Jones is delicious. I do love the 95 one, though, Ciaran Hinds IS Wentworth for me after that, and I actually loved the letter scene :D That voice! I think you should like 07 though, they're pretty different.

yay i found Northanger Abbey on youtube! I shall watch it tomorrow! And also proceed to scour the internet for the rest of the Jane Austen Season.

Heh I guess I was really bugged by the nearly non-existent film score in the 95 Persuasion, and that it quite wasn't sexy enough! Lol I unashamedly thrive on cheap thrills.

oh yes, just a random quote to share. I stumbled across it in this post over at film_stills (http://community.livejournal.com/film_stills/793884.html#cutid1), it's from Masculin Féminin by Jean-Luc Godard (1966), I found it pretty amazing :)

"We'd often go to the movies. We'd shiver as the screen lit up. But more often, Madeline and I would be disappointed. More often we'd be disappointed. The images flickered. Marilyn Monroe looked terribly old. It saddened us. It wasn't the film we had dreamed, the film we all carried in our hearts, the film we wanted to make... and secretly wanted to live. "
