I IMAXed the film again today (doorway!leaning! silent!grief!), and the audiobook should be arriving tomorrow! I can't believe I never saw the film more than once. I am mad. Because I think, after the first time, I would a) enjoy it more and b) appreciate the Lupin moments that there were, because there were FEW but they were good. Doorway lean! Cool explanation of Voldemort stuff! Awesome appearance at the DoM! Whip-like hexing! Grabbing Harry/Silent!grief! And that was it, I think. WHERE WAS THE POST-SWM FIREPLACE SCENE WITH SIRIUS. Dammit.
Actually, silent!grief actually annoyed me. a bit. Because,okay, I get that it was a DRAMATIC CINEMA MOMENT and all that, but I wanted to hear Lupin's voice. Because his voice breaks! And it's saaaaaad. And, OH, the angst.
THEY STOLE THE CUP FROM HIM! HE WAS SUPPOSED TO CRY TEARS OF JOY! Oh my God, that was the first time I remember tearing up at an HP book. "If only a Dementor were around, Harry felt he could have performed the best Patronus." MEEP.
Speaking of, I TOTALLY have to write post-smut-awkwardness-in-the-field. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.
I think we should seek help, because if we keep helping each other, we'll end up somewhere baaaad. Maybe. But not yet. I AM STILL IN A HAPPY PLACE RIGHT NOW. And there aren't many happy places left that I associate with the Lupin family.
