And some of Julie Delpy in Before Sunset, because I've got a bit of a girl crush on her.

Okay, you can look now.

EDIT: I just found out that Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams are playing Henry and Clare in the adaptation of The Time Traveller's Wife! This is excellent news! See?

I watched Northanger Abbey! Thank you so much for the link, it was a really nice adaptation :)) although I would have liked if they made it longer and developed the characters a little bit more.

I really like the third icon in the Northanger Abbey batch. I'm taking it if you don't mind :)

Yeah, it's always harder if they're not doing a miniseries, but I did quite like the fast pace.

Go for it!

Eric Bana? He's not skinny enough! Pah.
I always thought the Tennant should do it, just because he really seems to fit the physical description of Henry and would of course be effing brilliant! And isn't Clare supposed to have red hair?
Ah well, films rarely live up to books.

The lack of lankiness was a initial concern, but then I remembered that Eric Bana is brilliant. And I think Rachel McAdams should be good, she does young and eager pretty well, but also ansgt... And I like The Notebook.

Although, *falls over at idea of The Tennant playing Henry*

The only thing I've seen Eric Bana in is Troy which is a pretty dire film...so I suppose I should just wait for the film and see how it is to get a proper impression of him.
And I don't even know who Rachel McAdams is. :p

I sort of wouldn't want DT to do a film that big in a way, because then even more people would fall in love with him and I was one of the first damnit! ;)

Hi - came over from your comment on my journal and just had to second the excitement about the TTW casting! I haven't seen Eric Bana in anything but Rachel McAdams seems perfect for Clare, especially with the red hair she had in The Notebook.

The press release I read (different than the one you linked to) had a very disturbing plot summary though: "Bana will play a Chicago librarian with a genetic disorder that causes him to time-travel when he is under duress. Though his disorder causes him to vanish for long periods, he tries to build a life with the woman he loves. She's a young heiress struggling with the arrangement." That's not quite how I'd summarize the book! Hope they're not messing with the story...

Ooh-er. That doesn't sound quite as gnarly as the book, does it?

I'm pretty happy with the casting, although I'm having a bit of trouble picturing them together. However, this is infintely better than when it was rumoured to be starring Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, waaay back in the day. Lucky escape there, methinks.
