Today, I spent over an hour scouring The Port for a 2-Disc DVD of Master & Commander. It was not to be found.

However, I did purchase:
1x "Master & Commander" by Patrick O'Brian, novel
1x "Our Earthly Pleasures" by Maximo Park, CD
1x "Because Of The Times" by Kings Of Leon, CD
1x Brick, DVD

I'm still pissed off, though.

That is sadness. When I preordered it before it came out, I got the 1-disc edition, but I had never been given the options. Very pissed, I got it exchanged for the 2-disc version.

The book is delicious.

Stupid shops. When I asked at one place, I had to wait ten minutes to be told "There's one that comes in a tin... But we don't have it."

I'm not very far into the book, but it's rocking my socks. I mean, possibly one of the best introductions to a character I've ever read. With the music, and the hand tapping, and the flailing? Ach.

I'm not entirely sure how they translated "a man of between twenty and thirty whose big form overflowed his seat" into "Russell Crowe", though.

Yeah. Physically, they messed up Aubrey and Maturin. (But I'm not really complaining.)

I am in the process of reorganizing my bookshelf. It is le hard fitting in all 20 of those books, but I'll be damned if I don't. And I'm having fun thinking of new categories to go by.

I have a very nice 2-disc collectors edition of the movie, which I haven't watched in a while, come to think of it, so I should pop it in for a good viewing.

I have the book, but only read a little of it. If you finish it before I do, which I'm sure you will, you'll have to let me know that I'm missing out.

I'm not very far in, but I'm really enjoying it. Is it worth getting the 2-disc edition, then? I'm a bit of an extras junkie.
