Extended fight sequence = more whip-cracking? And possibly an edit with Lupin's lines? YES! Didn't the list of DVD features say "Alternate ending" or something? Or maybe that was the opening sequence...EITHER WAY, EXTENDED! And also there was an extra on the DoM Battle, so Thewlis should be in that!
I cannot wait for this DVD. I am literally going to be pausing every single frame, especially in the DoM, trying to find a moment where Remus and Tonks are in the same shot.
*makes whip noise* SO HOT. I saw an animated icon of the whip bit and literally was hypnotised for about ten minutes just...STARING. I like the camera angle, too, in that bit.
Seriously, I cannot understand why people don't love The Thewlis. There are people who don't?? Wait, you don't mean...there aren't people who actively go around actively disliking him and bitching, are there?! You just mean 'can't believe everyone is not madly in love with him', RIGHT? Because if there was some kind of Thewlis-hate going around I might die of shame at the human race.
Also, re:what you said about seeing Thewlis acting the Grimmauld Place when you read it, I get that too! Actually, that scene was weird. He kept chopping and changing between book!Remus (slightly thinner face and slightly longer hair) and film!Remus for me. But the Seven Potters/Fallen Warrior scene was DEFINITELY Thewlis-like, as was the Shell Cottage bit and Hogwarts bit.
