OH GODDD, I THINK BOOMER/CHIEF MAY BE MY BSG OTP FOR REALS. I spent the entirety of S1 bleeding out of my heart for them, when she's freaking out and trying to kill herself and he's just trying to help her until he can't anymore, and then SHE TOTALLY DIES IN HIS ARMS. And then S2, with all the Helo/Sharon/Chief angst, and it's not his Sharon anymore. OH CHIEF. And then, like, resistance!Chief is so hardcore and beardy and delicious and then DYLAN FOUR Chief just doesn't give a crap about anything any more, because it's all fucked forever so you might as well laugh in a cynical fashion. MEANWHILE, Boomer is slowly losing it because all the humans she loved rejected her and embraced Athena, and THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL EVER BE HAPPY IS WITH EACH OTHER, THE END.
... I have some strong Boomer/Chief feelings.
Heeee, the Adamadrama is the best. It took me a fair while to properly warm up to Lee, but I love how in the early seasons he only calls Bill 'Dad' when he, like, approves of his actions. LEE IS SUCH A BITCH SOMETIMES, I LOVE IT. BUT NOT AS MUCH AS I LOVE THE ADAMADRAMA BAGPIPES OF LOVE. But Adama is just generally amazing. ROSLIN/ADAMA HOMG, THEY ARE GOING TO BREAK MY HEART WITH THEIR OLD PERSON LOVE.
In other news, I kind of adore Gaius and Kara, even though they are dicks. Gaius because of his seeming invincibility and general skeeziness and complete lack of morals and imaginary Cylon girlfriend and AMAZINGNESS, I spend half his screentime giggling psychotically. And Karaaaaa, she's so horribly messed up. She fucks up everyone but mainly she fucks over herself and she's completely aware of it but she can't stop and also she has a Special Destiny and I am a sucker for Special Destiny and the ways people fight against it/embrace it ('sup, Merlin) and also, SHE IS SO EFFING BADASS.
