I Love My TV Boyfriend More Than Ever
I just bought the 2003 BBC version of The Other Boleyn Girl on DVD, watched it, and capped the hell out of it. Sigh.
Apologies for the size of the caps, but I'm too lazy/ unskilled to shrink them.
So.... Attempt at a picspam? Here goes. Spoilers ahoy.
This is Anne Boleyn and her sister Mary. They have rivalry issues.

This is them with their brother, George. They're pretty tight.

This is Anne and George rolling around on the grass. Hmmm.

Okay, so first Henry VIII likes Mary. Lures her away from her dull husband (Roger from Wives & Daughters!)Sleeps with her. Knocks her up. Turns his attentions to Anne.
Anne gets presents.

William Stafford (played by My TV Boyfriend Philip Glenister!) is secretly in love with Mary. He is angsty. And delicious. More on that story later.

Anne and Henry get married. Eventually, Mary's dull husband dies, thus leaving the way clear for Stafford to make his move. He's knocked back. Has she not eyes? Anyway, he is sad. And angsty. And delicious.

Luckily, when her sister the Queen tries to set her up with a Creepy Old Man, Mary comes to her senses and does this.

Then this happens.

Yay all round. But The Family aren't impressed. Showdown!

Mary finally grows some balls and stands up for herself and her new husband.

Then this happens, which totally makes it worth her while.

But; trouble in Paradise. Anne can't bear Henry a son, so the trio misguidedly decide that Anne should sleep with George. Her brother. Ew. But they argue about it first.

Surprisingly, this plan doesn't work, and Anne and George are both executed. This is Anne in the Tower.

And the producers really rub it in with A Flashback To Happier, More Innocent Days.

Anyway, Mary lives happily after with My TV Boyfriend Philip Glenister.

Okay, so my pathetic attempt at conveying the details of plot being over and done with, let's move onto the shallow, shallow reasons that I actually bought this DVD.
Okay, MTVBPG aside, Steven Mackintosh, who plays George, is completely adorable. See Our Mutual Friend for further evidence.

See? In this one I just like the way he's chewing on his thumb. Cutely.

Ooh, near the beginning Anne has a thing with Henry Percy, played by Oli Chris, whom I also want to cuddle. They're in love and stuff. It's sweet.

Okay, now it's time for The Many Brooding Faces Of William Stafford.

Ooh, and him playing with Mary's kids. Sigh.

Okay, for the proposal scene, I went slightly overboard with the capping.

And he looks damn sexy when Mary comes to his house realising She's Made A Huge Mistake.

Look! Hand clasping! He's so sweet. And manly. And grrr.

A wee bit more of Cute Angsty George:

And finally: You can't see much of my guy in this one, but it's worth it just for the glimpse of his manly hand.

So, there you have it. One picspam, courtesy of BBC DVD. I would also like to clarify that Philip Glenister isn't really my boyfriend, and I'm not a stalker. I just love him.
And Easy Louisey, these are yours for the saving.

I watched it when it was on TV but I can't remember how much he's in it?
I think he's still in the film version though. :D

Do you mean the Natalie Portman film?
*runs off to check IMDb*

It appears so yes! But OMGzzz, Oli speaking French?! This I do not remember!

Mmm, wouldn't mind Oli speaking French to me! Though the second time I went to see him in Cyrano de Bergerac he said "pardonnez-moi" to us because him and a load of the other actors had just run right at us with their swords above their heads! His accent wasn't very good though, lol. (This was all part of the play btw!)

Also, IMDb doesn't list which character he's playing. Are we assuming Henry Percy?
no subject
And yes, that's what I'd assume.

But great caps! Anything with Philip is always nice.
