Tra La La...

... Changed my profile! Finally got everything orgaised into one of those nice table things, and knocked up a Northanger Abbey header. Could do with some more quotes though, if anyone has something magical to share with me :)

AHH I want to watch Northanger Abbey! I love Catherine from the novel, despite what the critics say of her immaturity. Have you seen the 2007 version of Persuasion? I want to find out if it's any good. I saw the 1995 film though, thought it was pretty awful. The letter scene was totally disappointing ):

oh yes, just a random quote to share. I stumbled across it in this post over at film_stills (http://community.livejournal.com/film_stills/793884.html#cutid1), it's from Masculin Féminin by Jean-Luc Godard (1966), I found it pretty amazing :)

"We'd often go to the movies. We'd shiver as the screen lit up. But more often, Madeline and I would be disappointed. More often we'd be disappointed. The images flickered. Marilyn Monroe looked terribly old. It saddened us. It wasn't the film we had dreamed, the film we all carried in our hearts, the film we wanted to make... and secretly wanted to live. "
