Fuuuuuuck.

Oh Lord. And it all started so well.

Okay, so tonight was the Bad Taste Party at our halls. Basically, the theme was anything goes, as long as it's even vaguely offensive. We looked quite nifty, if I do say so myself. Me, Louise, Emma and Lizzy were essentially a (failed) suicide pact, and it was quality. It was emo beyond all belief. I had 'bandages' made from kitchen towel on my wrists, stained with red poster paint, and I had a note pinned to my tshirt reading:

"I have finallly come to realise that Simon Le Bon will never be mine.
This is the end.
I can suffer no more.
Goodbye, cruel world."

I also scrawled 'SLB' and 'Duran Duran' on my arms in biro. Classy stuff.

Anyhoo, the party was a bit good. There was excellent music, and cheap, if nasty, liquor (it was from Aldi...). We took magnificent photos galore, mostly of us looking sad, but there was a particularly spectacular sequence of us doing Myspace-esque emo poses. I also had a fucking good music conversation for about half an hour with Suzy, which was a bit awesome. Some of the costumes were classic. There were dead crackwhores, Steve Irwin with a paper stingray, slutty nuns, 'Ya Mum' with inflatable boobs and a tshirt reading 'Sucky Fucky $10', a suicide bomber with an alarm clock and a sign reading 'Durka durka jihad'...

However, by the time I rejoined the group, everyone except Louise was completely off their face. I put Lizzy to bed with lots of water, and when I came down, Emma had been sick on one of the sofa cushions. So, we were in the toilet cleaning up when the fire alarm went off...

So, we all staggered outside, where Cindy proceeded to throw up. Also, it was reet cold. And Emma was still illy, and Lizzy was practically comatose. When we took Lizzy back upstairs, she threw up on her carpet. Emma was sick in the corridor. Cindy spent half an hour crying and throwing up in her sink. Louise and I were darting efficiently back and forth being vaguely comforting, mopping brows and tying back hair and so forth.

THEN, we got invaded by the paramedics. Apparently, after people had put Torrie to bed, she had 'tried to kill herself'. She'd actually made a shallow cut above her elbow, completely missing any arteries, and then called an ambulance herself. That girl has serious issues; with alcohol and with her general psychological state...

Then Louise and I got talking to some of the others, and it turns out that the guys who let off the extinguisher and set off the alarm don't even live in our house... But we're going to get completely reamed for everything on Monday anyway. Also, it looks like Emma's camera is missing.

Finally, after everyone was settled, we mopped up the last of the sick and headed to bed. Tremendous fun.

Ah well. It could be worse. And I'm going to see a play tomorrow! And we're going to eat at Ask, which used to be the assembly rooms. It's completley gorgeous. There are all these green marble columns and chandeliers and a grand piano on the way to the toilets. It's straight outta Austen.

Anyway, the next few days are going to be mental, since I have to finish Portrait Of A Lady and write an essay and do my Italian translation, but as soon as I can I'll put up the caps I made of Ultraviolet. It's a 1998 TV series starring Jack Davenport, Susannah Harker and Philip Quast. It's got vampires in it and it is muy hardcore.

That's why I don't think you need to drink to have a fun time =/. Puking all night doesn't sound like fun to me. Not that I'm bashing anyone, and drinking is totally fine if you're responsible about it, just yeah, I have zero interest in partying and drinking.

I'm not speaking bad of you at all =), though!

There have been better nights, that's for sure...

I don't really like it when things get out of hand like that, it was just good that there were enough vaguely sober people there to help everybody. I was sick once in my first term at uni... and yeah. Definitely more moderation now.

Also, I love your icon. And how cute was Jonas on NMTB?

Heh, yeah. Glad you're not angry at me for saying that! *hugs*

Jonas was TOO cute! I LOVED when he made his 'glum' face. Adorable boy XD!

I am so, so sorry. I have absolutely no idea how it happened. I really did not mean for things to get quite so crazy.

From this day forth, I am not drinking anything ever again.

My lovely, it happens to the best of us.

Don't worry, I won't tell The Man With The Hands.

Oh Christ! I can't believe that was my main concern!

Don't worry my love. Sophie's right, it happens to the best of us. At least now you know what you can handle.
